How to make your own Sprunki OC
Pick the sound group first: Beats, Effects, Melodies, or Vocals decides what your OC adds to a mix. Give the character one clear visual hook, such as a colour, an accessory, or a shape, so it still reads at icon size. Draft the normal form and the Horror Mode form together so the switch feels like the same character. Choose or record a short loop that fits the group and test it next to the official cast. When it sounds right, build it in the Sprunki Wiki creator at /create/, publish it, and share the link.
Can other people play my OC?
Yes. A published creation gets its own page that anyone with the link can open, play, and favourite.
Is my OC part of official Sprunki canon?
No. Fan characters are fanon. Keep your own art and sounds, and do not reuse another creator's OC without permission.
Picking a Sound Group That Fits
The four sound groups are the design constraint that makes an OC work in a mix, and they are worth choosing before anything else. Beats covers the percussion that anchors a loop; Effects covers the short hits and texture; Melodies carries the tuned lines; Vocals carries the sung parts. A character belongs to whichever group its loop actually serves, and a loop that does two jobs tends to disappear the moment the stage fills up. The published cast is the reference here - Oren holds the Kick drum in Beats, Jevin is a choir vocal, Simon plays an 8-bit synth - so the quickest sanity check on a new OC is to place it next to the official performer who shares its group and listen for whether it adds something or duplicates it.
Can an OC join a group that is already full?
Yes. Nothing enforces one performer per role, but a second part in the same group needs to answer the first rather than copy it, or the mix thickens instead of growing.
What makes an OC readable at icon size?
One hook. The official cast does this deliberately - a hat, a colour, a shape - so a small portrait still identifies the character on a crowded stage.
Publishing, Ownership and What the Site Hosts
A published creation gets a page of its own that anyone with the link can open, play and favourite, and the site also hosts mods built around fan characters - Sprunki OC Ultimate and the fan-character builds are catalog entries rather than editorial pages. Two rules keep that arrangement healthy. First, do not reuse another creator's character without permission; the OC pages here exist precisely because a name, a look and a loop are somebody's work. Second, keep your own art and sounds: a fan character that copies the official cast's assets is both a different legal situation and a worse character, because the hook that makes it recognisable is the part you made. The horror form is where new creators most often stall, and the official profiles show the range available - some performers change shape, some only change expression, one barely changes at all.
Do I need a horror form to publish?
It is strongly worth having. The switch is the one thing every build shares, and a character with only one state looks unfinished next to the official cast.
Where do I start if I have never made one?
With the loop. Pick the group, record something short, and only then design the character around the sound you actually want on the stage.
