What the Beats group does in a mix

Beats keep time, so this is the layer the rest of a mix is built on. Oren plays the kick drum; Raddy plays the snare and hi-hat; Clukr plays the cymbal and drum; Fun Bot plays the amen break; Vineria plays the maracas and cabasa. A mix takes one character per slot, so this group is the set you choose between when you want that layer to sound different without changing anything else. Every name here is from the published cast, and the same twenty characters are redrawn by most fan mods.

Beats characters in this group

Oren plays the kick drum. Orange Beats performer in headphones who lays down the kick drum, the sound most players drop on the stage first. Raddy plays the snare and hi-hat. Red, spiky-headed Beats performer who adds the snare and hi-hat that give a mix its pulse. Clukr plays the cymbal and drum. Silver, robot-like Beats performer with a dish on its head who adds cymbals and drums. Fun Bot plays the amen break. Yellow robot Beats performer with a screen for a face who plays the fast amen break. Vineria plays the maracas and cabasa. Green, plant-themed Beats performer who shakes maracas and cabasa into the groove.

How these five fit together

Pair him with Raddy, who adds the snare and hi-hat. Put him with Oren on kick duty: the two cover low thump and high crack, the classic drum-kit pairing that makes a beat sound complete. Team him with Garnold: the two are long-time creative partners, and Garnold's synth layer gives the harmony that Clukr's cymbals decorate. Pair him with Gray, whose sawtooth bass gives the fast amen break a solid low end to sit on. Pair her with Oren: his kick gives the low pulse while her shakers add fine, high texture, so the groove stays steady and lively. These pairings come from the published character profiles, so they describe what the mix does rather than a ranking.

Horror Mode forms in this group

Oren: In Horror Mode his orange body turns charred and dark, his eyes lose their colour and a glowing, pulsing heart shows through his chest. Raddy: His Horror Mode portrait is one of the grimmest: one side of his face is badly damaged, several of his spikes are broken and his remaining eye drifts. Clukr: In his horror portrait the cymbals have clamped down over the top half of his head, leaving only his reddened eyes visible. Fun Bot: Horror Mode mostly changes his colours rather than his shape: his outline fades into dark tones, his expression flattens into a serious frown and his eyes stop blinking. Vineria: Her flowers wilt in Horror Mode and dark vines creep across her face, while the cracked bottle-shaped horns keep their outline. The whole stage switches to Horror Mode when Black is placed, and every character here has a darker look and a darker sound to match.

Other Sprunki groups

Effects (Gray, Brud, Garnold, OWAKCX, Sky). Melodies (Mr. Sun, Durple, Mr. Tree, Simon, Tunner). Vocals (Mr. Fun Computer, Wenda, Pinki, Jevin, Black). Mixing across groups is the normal way to build a track: one character from each group fills one layer, and replacing a group's character changes only that layer.

Where this page comes from

The groups, roles and game links on this page are read from the site's own character records, and the pairing and Horror Mode sentences are the character profiles published on sprunki.com. They describe the published cast rather than a particular fan build, so if a mod's own page disagrees with something here, the mod wins. Where a game has replaced the roster entirely, the character pages say so.
